A COMPLEX PROJECT
- ANDREW CHURCH
A majestic sanctuary of challenging size and scope. The ceiling is spanned by 38 soaring arched trusses, each 55 feet in length. Each truss was constructed in sections with as many as 12 sections per truss. Forty-five feet above the altar, at the apex, 8 trusses join together in a circular pattern to form a self-supporting ridge. The paneled ceiling consists of 55,000 linear feet of poplar tongue and groove. All of the trusses and ceiling panels were stained and finished prior to installation. FORUM performed installation as well as fabrication and finish.
FORUM produces finely crafted products primarily for the commercial construction market. We work closely with design professionals and contractors to provide end quality that maintains design integrity.
FORUM is a full-spectrum operation and occupies 20,000 square feet of production facilities in rural Milford Center, near Columbus, Ohio. Our specialized equipment includes a Morbidelli CNC boring and routing machine, a computer operated Holzma panel saw, a Costa veneer panel sander, a Brandt edgebander and automated dowel insertion and case clamping.
This project received an Award of Excellence from the Architectural Woodwork Institute
and was featured in their publication, Design Solutions
In addition, our craftsman received a Craftsmanship Award from the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio
